Bernie Madoff Effect!
There are many websites and newspapers out there, still talking about this devilish character Bernie Madoff. But can you blame them? Even though this event happened many months ago, and has left many of his rich investors penniless, it will obviously get a lot more attention.
But, the good news is..karma will catch up with Bernie real soon. It has a funny way of doing that. ‘Tiny’ his new cellmate certainly thinks so, anyway!. LOL.
It could be the fact that he has broken almost all records for the most greedy, illegal ponzi scheme ever created, or just that greasy old sleaze bag look that annoys me. But I think there is something missing here.
hmmm…Let me explain….
Madoff got away with this evil ponzi scheme for many years. That’s not the shocking part!. What we must realize is that other crooks are currently involved in similar activities but they too are flying under the radar!. This causes me great concern. Yes I am sure they are out there. And I don’t think Mr Madoff is the last one to go to jail over such heinous crimes.
Unfortunately in the current economic environment, this is a breeding ground for such personalities to come out of the woodwork. Our research in this area, has bought about some interesting results. We thought it was very important to share this data.
As the US economy continues to dwindle, expect to see the following trends develop;-
- Desperate people without money creating more illegal and bogus schemes.
- Those that study this Madoff strategy will try to rake in money from unsuspecting victims by incorporating similar tactics into their business plans.
- Companies with good marketing skills and empathetic towards those who have totally lost out in the market have the upper hand. Its always easier to sell to someone that is a desperate buyer, someone in need.
- Funds and investment gurus promising sky rocket returns will surface yet again. This is strange if you have seen how this market has been behaving lately. Be critical of schemes or investment vehicles that seem like they are “dangling the carrot” so to speak, and promising the world. If it seems to good to be true then normally it is!
I’m sure after such a horrible event, regulators are clamping down, which I think is a positive move. But remember that fear and greed still ravages the marketplace and the general public. People that are down on their luck and their life savings will be looking to take up such opportunities for a quick fix to their money problems. To make back what was rightfully theirs. Those tricked back in, will realize their mistake when a majority of their money ( the money they had left), will be lost again.
The emergence of these trends are something to take note of to insure the safety and financial security of you and your loved ones.
Finally….
To you Mr Bernie Madoff, Enjoy your time inside. I’m sure I speak for many people by saying….”Good Riddence Critter!” Tiny your cellmate will take extra good care of you, in your new home. By that, I dont mean in a ’serve devishire tea and scones on a Sunday morning’ sort of way!.
